Command Force
Active. 2026 auditions: applications closed Mar 2, virtual semifinals (videos due Apr 1), in-person finalist bootcamp and showcase May 9-13, 2026 team set to be announced mid-May. Performs at every home game.. Co-ed entertainment team of 40+ dancers, gymnasts, breakers and Beat Ya Feet performers (hip hop, street funk, pom and DC's Beat Ya Feet). The team announced in March 2021 that a co-ed dance squad would replace its cheerleaders; the first Command Force (44 members) was picked at April 2022 auditions for the 2022 season. Youth arm: Junior Force (ages 5-17: Tiny Force 5-8, Mighty Force 9-12, Cadets 13-17); its 2026 pregame performance is Oct 11 vs the Giants at Northwest Stadium (registration closed, 2027 waitlist open).
Youth and flag football
Commanders girls flag football platform
$1M+ two-year commitment (Aug 2025) to 127 high school programs; 178 programs across DC, Maryland and Virginia by Aug 2026 (102 in Virginia after 51 were added). Each team gets funding, 25 Nike uniforms, an NFL FLAG kit and clinics. Maryland (MPSSAA) sanctioned girls flag as a varsity championship sport starting fall 2026; DC sanctioned it too; Virginia (VHSL) is still weighing it.
Hampton Roads girls high school flag league
Commanders-sponsored league for Suffolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News and Hampton city schools, starting fall 2026.
Frederick County, Winchester and Warren County (VA) schools partnership
Announced Sept 2026, runs through the 2028 school year: $3,000 per participating high school plus custom Nike uniforms, flags, belts and footballs.
Girls Flag College Showcase
The team's first-ever Girls Flag College Showcase (Dec 2025) put 125+ DMV players in front of 15+ college coaches; the team bills it as built for 200 athletes in the classes of 2026-2030.
High School Girls' Flag Coach of the Week
Weekly honor with a $2,000 donation to the coach's program.
Commanders Camps (youth flag)
Summer 2026 flag football camps at multiple DMV sites; most for rising 2nd-7th graders (boys and girls), an older 6th-9th track and girls-only sessions for 3rd-8th graders.
Commanders NFL FLAG Regional Tournament
5v5 NFL FLAG tournament, 8U co-ed through high school girls; division winners earn bids to the NFL FLAG Championships. 2025 edition: Nov 1, 2025 at the Fields at RFK. A 2026 date was not found.

The team's spring league guide points families to NFL FLAG (ages 4-17, league finder), Under the Lights Flag Football (Prince George's and Montgomery counties), FlagStar and Koa Sports leagues.
Commanders XP
Mobile community program that visits youth games and school events with Major Tuddy and Command Force; schools and youth groups apply online.
